‘Making Faces’ is a series of photo-essays that consist of documentation and writing on the practice of political poster-making across Indian cities and towns- drawing from a series of photographs taken across select Indian cities during the course of research for my under- graduate dissertation exploring spectacle, stardom and masculinity in political image-making. The images were drawn across a wide range of examples from various Indian cities between 2024-2026, and aims to mark a specific moment in time in the tradiiton of Indian political image-making.
